I'm familiar with the oden's eye formula and though I had some minor issues with some purples in the past (which this palette does not contain), their formula has been consistent and reliable through and through. the shimmers are very sparkly and creamy, almost like a putty formula, so I do suggest a primer and applying a thin layer to ensure they're not chunky on the eye. I personally love to go in with my finger for a diffused sparkle and define the edges with a brush if needed. The mattes on their palettes generally run dark (amazing because they can work on a wider range of complexions), but they're easy to blend and sheer out. This palette has a white which you can dip into to lighten the other shades so it's a plus for the fair skin tones.
I feel like at this point, considering the formula is beautiful for both mattes and shimmers, you should pick a palette if the color story speaks to you. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
The only downside for me personally is that some shimmers tend to be repetitive in their own repertoire. I own seven of their palettes and 24 singles and I can dupe quite a few shades (mostly shimmers) in their own products.
